Dr. Patrick Boyea is a passionate optometrist who began his journey into eye care with a strong interest in the health sciences. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2019, he pursued his Doctor of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, graduating with clinical honors in 2024.
During his time in optometry school, Dr. Boyea provided free eye exams and vision screenings to various underserved populations, including children, disabled individuals, and homeless veterans. Known for his personable approach and commitment to patient care, Dr. Boyea enjoys using his up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies and treatments to positively impact his patients’ lives.
Originally from the small town of Chateaugay in northern New York, Dr. Boyea now calls Marcellus home, where he lives with his girlfriend and their golden doodle. Outside the clinic, Dr. Boyea enjoys gardening, boating in the summer, and skiing in the winter.
Scott Harris has been dedicated to the field of ophthalmic dispensing since 1996, following his graduation from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology. Over the years, Scott has honed his expertise in eyewear selection, patient consultations, and optical fittings, helping countless patients achieve better vision with the perfect frames and lenses. He excels at forming patient connections, and when it comes to eyewear, he expertly matches what patients want out of their looks with their facial features, sense of style, and personality.
As a former retail optical manager, Scott now takes pride in assisting the Auburn community, where he resides with his wife, Wendy. Together, they have raised three wonderful children—Brandon, Karleigh, and Devin. Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and being actively involved in the community he calls home.
A native of Auburn, NY, Thomas Alfieri joined Auburn Eye Care in 2012 and has taken on a variety of roles and responsibilities throughout his time with the office. He left to earn his B.A. in biology from Keuka College and, after graduation, he returned to Auburn Eye Care full-time as an optician’s assistant in 2019. Thomas is enrolled in the Ophthalmic Dispensing Career Progression Program, working toward obtaining his New York State license in ophthalmic dispensing.
Driven by a passion for patient care, Thomas strives to provide the best possible experience for everyone who walks through Auburn Eye Care’s doors. His experience and depth make him a valuable asset in the office, where he assists everyone from the eye doctors to Auburn’s opticians.
Cammi Granato brings a wealth of experience to her role as general manager at Auburn Eye Care. With a business degree from La Jolla, CA, she has spent over three decades leading cross-functional teams in domestic and international settings. Her expertise lies in driving revenue growth and implementing process improvements, which have consistently resulted in increased operational efficiency.
Originally from Skaneateles, NY, Cammi loves staying active through workouts and walks. She also enjoys traveling but values time with her family above all else. She is proud of her four children—Fred, Amanda, Kyle, and Kaleb—and adores spending time with her seven grandchildren: Brayden, Bailey, Grayson, Easton, Ashton, Myla Lou, and Atlas.
Dr. Mike Sellars is a dedicated optometrist who provides comprehensive, patient-centered eye care with a strong focus on ocular disease management. Originally from New Hartford, he is known for his thorough exams, clear communication, and approachable style that helps patients feel confident in their care.
Dr. Sellars earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Siena College in 2018, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2023, graduating with clinical honors. He then completed an ocular disease residency through the VA healthcare system, where he gained advanced experience managing glaucoma, retinal disease, and complex eye conditions.
Passionate about delivering modern, evidence-based care, Dr. Sellars uses the latest diagnostic technology to support early detection and effective treatment. He is committed to building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them maintain long-term eye health.
